Jim MunchbachI'm looking for "Donor Advised Fund" checklist. I'm upvoting this topic for that purpose: Donor Advised Fund - I need a checklist!

ChrisGranger Admin"Itemized Deductions - Charitable Contributions and deduction limitations" (suggested by Alejandro Ruiz on 2022-05-18), including upvotes (1) and comments (0), was merged into this suggestion. Original language from this merged suggestion: "A flowchart outlining the allowable itemized deduction for cash, ordinary income property and short-term capital gain property, and long-term capital gain property (intangible, tangible personalty, & real property). The method of valuation for purposes of calculating such deduction and the maximum (ceiling) percent allowed for public, private operating, and private non-operating charities/foundations.
I am attaching a written table that I compiled during my CFP studies - I hope it provides clarity.
I think it should start with what type of asset are you donating then to which type donee/charity but feel free to add your own touch to it." -

ChrisGranger Admin Merged"Gifting Decisions with new $11.5 million unified credit exemption equivalent per person, until 2026." (suggested by Anthony Smith on 2018-10-12), including upvotes (4) and comments (0), was merged into this suggestion. Original language from this merged suggestion: "Many formula wills need revision, ans the unified credit has now grown by law. This results in the marital gift to the spouse (or in trust) being reduced, while the children's "family" trust is increased. This all changes with the sunset. How to model these on a flow chart is my problem."

MicheleGifting from a DAF vs QCD and the impact on state tax credits. For example in Missouri you are eligible for Missouri State Tax Credits when giving to an eligible charity from an IRA/QCD. But not through a DAF.
